Paid — Money you fronted for the group: restaurant bills, groceries, excursions charged to your card. Because you've already spent real money on behalf of everyone, this amount is subtracted from what you owe — the group effectively owes you back.
Payments Made — Direct person-to-person settlements (Venmo, Zelle, cash) made during or after the trip. Each payment you send to another traveler reduces your Balance Due by that amount.
Total Owed — Your share of all trip expenses, adjusted if another traveler covered something on your behalf (or if you covered theirs).
Balance Due — What you still owe (or are owed) after subtracting Paid and Payments Made from your Total Owed. Terracotta = you owe the group. Green = the group owes you.
